Accra, May 6, GNA – The Netball Association of Ghana (NAG) has extended invitation to six players to report immediately for camping ahead of the Africa Youth Netball Championship in Namibia later this month.
The players are Flora Lowoe (Eastern Region), Harriet Jomo (Central Region), Delphine Hugbenke (Mount Mary College of Education, Somanya, Eastern Region, Charity Ofori (Ashanti Region), Hameedatu Abdullah (Central Region) and Joyce Mensah (Ghana Education Service GES, Bibiani-Ahwiso, Bekwai District).
They are expected to resume training at the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex, Kaneshie, Accra.
A statement signed by Rev. Emmanuel D. Nikoi, Chairman of NAG copied to GNA Sports, said the technical team has lined up a number of trial matches for the team, to put the players in the best of shapes for the competition.
It said the team will engage Sekondi Ladies at Essipong Stadium, Kwahu Ladies at Abetifi, Kwahu and Hohoe Ladies at Hohoe on 9th, 13th and 16th May in the trial matches lined up for them.
The Association is therefore urging the various National Supporters Unions, Sports Writers Association as well as the Sports Callers Association of Ghana and other stakeholders to visit the team in camp to motivate them to prepare adequately for the task ahead.
