Kumasi Asante Kotoko sensational right full back Samuel Inkoom has asked management of Kotoko to allow him join Swiss side F.C. Basal.

Inkoom disclosed to Asempa Sports that before the Kotoko and Hearts match last Sunday, an agent called him and told him about an F.C. Basal deal but he asked the agent to wait after the epic match which ended 2-1 in favour of Hearts.

Samuel Inkoom who has been called into the Black Stars squad for the CHAN Tournament later this month in Ivory coast, told Asempa Sports Tuesday morning that when he contacted the Kotoko management on his desire to move to the Swiss side, he was told the supporters would be mad at the management and they needed to study his move critically.

Reports say the Swiss team and Kotoko have disagreed over fees, as the club is quoted as offering $500,000 while Kotoko is demanding $700,000.

Inkoom has also denied rumours that he is leaving Kotoko without informing management. “Kumasi Asante Kotoko is my life. I have no problem with the management. But they should also know this is my life and I am appealing to Kotoko Management to let me go,” he stated.

Samuel Inkoom however asked supporters of Kotoko to rally behind him to enable him make the move to F.C. Basal as the transfer window in Swiss ends this weekend.

Samuel Inkoom is a key member of the National under 20 football team, the Black Satellites, that won the 2009 African Youth Championship held in Rwanda recently.
