KING FAISAL'S newest signing Baba Adamu Armando has sternly cautioned Kotoko against downplaying the might of his club as the two city rivals meet in the opening day of the Onetouch Premiership.
The former Kotoko livewire insists King Faisal has a youthful and talented team that could easily tame the champions at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday.
If they become complacent, Kotoko, Armando indicated, would be made to laugh at the wrong side of their mouths by King Faisal in front of their vociferous fans.
Speaking in a radio interview, the former national star boldly predicted victory for King Faisal in the duel and asked anyone that doubts him to engage him in a bet. “I am ready to bet anyone who thinks Kotoko can carry the day”.
He refused to be nervous about the seasoned and household names in the Kotoko camp, saying, “Names do not play football of late. King Faisal is parading young and unknown players but I know we can easily whip Kotoko”.
Armando who has signed a three-month contract with the Alhaji Grunsah team, noted that he would emplane abroad for greener pastures immediately his contract with King Faisal expires.
