NEW: Ghana Tourist Villas offers an unforgettable holiday and business experience in Accra.
ALL IS now set for Ghana's bantamweight International Boxing Federation (IBF) Champion, Joseph 'King Kong' Agbeko to defend his title against Nicaraguan challenger, William Josue Gonzalez on Thursday December 11 at the Prudential Centre in New Jersey, USA.

DAILY GUIDE SPORTS' investigation indicates that the 28-year-old champion, who has an impressive record of 26 fights, 25 wins with 22 knockouts, is very confident of retaining the title though he has stayed out of the ring for more than a year.

His 27-year-old opponent also known as 'Chirizo' has fought 23 times, winning 21with 18 by knock-out and 2 defeats.

Agbeko who is presently in the black community of Bronx, New York, has been undergoing rigorous training, under the tutelage of his personal instructor Adam Arday, and the boxer has assured Ghanaians that he will bring back the title.

Sources close to Optimum Media Prime (OMP), a sports marketing and advertising firm explained that technical hitches emanating from visa challenges for Gonzalez as well as differences between Promoter Don King and Sam Peters, the Nigerian World Boxing Council (WBC) Heavyweight Champion whose title defense was the Main Card of the night for the Agbeko- Gonzalez fight, has delayed the bout.

Similarly, the 'King Kong' had to pull out from the bout earlier on, which was fixed for August 2, 2008 in Puerto Rico, due to unresolved problems between Don King Promotions and Samuel Peters.

Kenneth Ashigbey, Managing Director of OMP whose outfit has the rights syndication to broadcast the fight, has assured Ghanaians that Metro TV will telecast the bout live, adding that Ghanaians should keep on praying and supporting the champion as he lifts the flag of Ghana high come Christmas.
