The Ashanti Regional Minister Mr Emmanuel Asamoah Owusu-Ansah has extended his best wishes to the national Under-17 team, the Black Starlets in their impending qualifier match against their Libyan counterparts at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, Accra on Saturday.
The Minister who is a former GFA Vice-Chairman said in a Special Message to the Starlets that he 'Wish them good luck that the nation is solidly behind them and expect that they play their hearts out to clinch a resounding victory.
'Nothing would be sweeter than for you under Coach Emmanuel Akwasi Afranie and his assistants to win the start of the qualifier not only to bring hope of glory and honour but to prove to the world that Ghana football had indeed come of age.'
Mr Owusu-Ansah said he is encouraged by the spirit and sustained team spirit, dedication and patriotism in camp and hoped that they would dig deep into their strength and display very powerful performance on Saturday, adding that 'winning the match will define our progress in the qualifier.'
'I have a strong conviction that you will glitter and win convincingly to bring smiles to the face of all Ghanaians,' he added.
