The latest round of matches in Matchday 25 of the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season concluded across various stadiums, with one game remaining to be played on Thursday.
At Akoon Park, defending champions Medeama SC secured a 2-0 victory over Hearts of Oak, adding to the latter's woes. Kobina Amoah broke the deadlock in the 65th minute, followed by Godfred Abban sealing the win with a fine strike in the 81st minute.
Meanwhile, at DUN's Park, Bibiani Gold Stars continued their impressive form with a thrilling 3-2 win against Karela United. Dafie Humin Mohammed and Mawuli Wayo contributed to the home side's goals, while Kumi Attah scored an equalizer for Karela United before Abednego Tetteh converted a crucial spot-kick in the 90th minute to secure victory.
Berekum Chelsea also clinched a 3-2 win at Golden City Park against Dreams FC. Stephen Amankona and Haruna Shaibu were among the scorers for the home side, while Eric Danso Boateng netted twice for Dreams FC.
Heart of Lions triumphed with a 2-0 win over Accra Lions at Kpando Sports Stadium, courtesy of goals from Kwesi Pong and Ebenezer Abban.
Elsewhere, Bofoakwa Tano secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Aduana Stars, with Emmanuel Boateng Agyenim finding the net in the 58th minute. Real Tamale United stunned Nations FC with a lone goal from Mohammed Iddriss, while Legon Cities drew 1-1 with FC Samartex and Great Olympics shared points with Bechem United in a 1-1 draw.
Looking ahead, Asante Kotoko will face Nsoatreman FC at the Baba Yara Stadium on Thursday.
In the league standings, FC Samartex, Nations FC, Aduana Stars, and Berekum Chelsea occupy the top four positions, while Dreams FC, Heart of Lions, and Real Tamale United find themselves in the relegation zone.
