Another Ghanaian celebrity, Abeiku Nyame, popularly known as Jaga Pee, is in the grips of British security agencies, following his suspected involvement in a financial misdemeanour.

The arrest of Jaga Pee by agents of the London Metropolitan Police brings to two, the number of Ghanaian celebrities in the custody of British security officials, following the arrest of Daasebre Gyamerah, the highlife maestro, at Heathrow Airport for alleged smuggling cocaine.

The actor was arrested alongside three other suspects at his residence in Harlesden, North West, London. Information reaching Daily Guide indicates that Jaga Pee lived with some suspected financial fraudsters who engaged in stealing people's identities, credit cards and siphoning money from people's bank accounts.

Two other persons present during the Police swoop on the house, managed to escape arrest. Police are investigating the case, after which the suspects would be charged and sent to court.

Financial fraud is considered a major crime in the United Kingdom, where various measures are being put in place to stem it. Jaga Pee, it would be recalled, was charged alongside a music star, Geeman, following a shooting incident at the CFC Flats, Dome in Accra, Ghana where a taxi driver was killed on account of arguments over charge. The two were arraigned before court for murder.

At the end of a high profile case which attracted the attention of many Ghanaians, the court sentenced Geeman to death and a reduced sentence for Jaga Pee.

President John Agyekum Kufuor's amnesty in commemoration of the country's 48th independence anniversary was extended to Jaga Pee who immediately relocated to the UK, where he has been since.
