NEW: Ghana Tourist Villas offers an unforgettable holiday and business experience in Accra.
The Islam Centre for Peace, Democracy and Human Rights, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) in collaboration with the World Health Organisation (WHO) on Thursday organised an immunization sensitization forum for Muslims in the Kumasi metropolis.
The Forum was aimed at sensitizing Muslim communities about the importance of immunization.
The organisation has been deeply concerned itself with immunization issues since 2004 and have decided to set up activities of social mobilization in contribution to efforts at preventing the risk of further spread of infant diseases.
Mr. Muaz Mohammed, an Islamic scholar from Islamic University in Saudi Arabia, appealed to Muslim religious leaders to get all parents involved and mobilize their children for vaccination.
He also called on those who have not yet registered with the National Health Insurance (NHI) to do so in order to receive affordable health care.
