Western Alliance for NPP Governance, a Non - Governmental Research and Advocacy Group in Western Region celebrates the good people of Dagbon for achieving this wonderful miles stone.

The Kingdom of Dagbon is a kingdom in Northern Ghana founded by the Dagomba People in the 15th century. During its independence, it comprised, at various points, the Northern, Upper West and Upper East Region of present-day Ghana.

Since Ghana's independence in 1957, the kingdom has been limited to a traditional and customary role.

In a release copied to thepressradio.com, the group said successive governments especially the current NPP Government must be commended extremely for spearheading this great achievement of restoring Peace and Tranquility.

“The records must also be set straight that, we couldn't have achieved this success but for the deliberate and conscious attempt by the Commander in-chief of the Ghana Armed Forces and the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo”. The release stated.

Also, the works of the Eminent Chiefs led by Otumfour Osei Tutu II and the Northern Regional Security Council headed by Hon. Salifu Saeed must be appreciated for how far we have come.

To the various Gates Abudus and Andani led by Bolin - Lana Abudulai Mahamadu and Kampakuya Naa Yakubu Abudulai Andani respectively who have come to the conclusion that there is the need to end the protracted conflict that has plagued the people of Dagbon decade upon decades, we would like to say that you have done a yeo man's job.

It is therefore the hope of Western Alliance for NPP Governance that, the newly elected Yaa Naa, Naa Abubakari Mahama II will extend an olive branch to his other brothers for us to have an accelerated development of the Dagbon State.

For us we know the cost of the conflict cannot be measured by any Development Analyst and we would like to associate ourselves to the statement of Kuga Naa Adam Abudulai the Head of the King Makers that "Conflict Contractors must allow Dagbon State to enjoy the peace and unity that has eluded it for years".

We are highly optimistic that, the indigenes of Dagbon will rally behind the newly elected Yaa Naa so that Dagbon State can go back to it glorious days of progress and success.

Once again, Western Alliance congratulate the good people of Dagbon for given peace the chance.
