We Convey Our Closeness And Solidarity To Sierra Leone - Modern Women Of Wisdom International 

We the members of Modern Women of Wisdom International, an all female humanitarian organization informed of the tragic consequences of the heavy rains in Sierra Leone are in total shock and have been overcome with grief.

As a humanitarian Organization that values life and seek the welfare of humanity, we find this catastrophe a hard blow to the entire human race. It is heartbreaking to see images of the recent destruction on our continent with so many people affected.

We find this mudslide as one of the worst flooding recorded in Africa.

About 200 people are reported killed by the floods with 600 people still missing as a result of the mudslide. Again, we are told people's homes, schools, cars and other properties have submerged in water with several roads washed away by the deluge.

The devastating effects that this flood has had on our neighbours in Sierra Leone is a harsh reminder of how we all need to come together as global citizens and help those in need.

We assure the victims, families and all those affected by this disaster of our prayers and unflinching support. May the good Lord strengthen and comfort them in these hard times.

It is our fervent hope and desire that the International community will respond rapidly and generously to the needs and wants of the suffering.
