Accra, July 27, GNA - The civil engineering contract for the completion of 2.5km internal roads at Appolonia an estate development community near Accra, has been awarded to Crownhouse Logistics and Construction.
Appolonia is a fully master planned, mixed-use and mixed-income urban development in the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area.
The construction, which would be carried out over a 12-month period, would provide over 100 jobs from which the local Appolonia Community would also benefit.
A statement in Accra, copied to the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday, said Crownhouse's work would involve demolition works, clearance of the site, earthworks, and concrete works in U-Drains and culverts among other activities.
'The award of the contract to Crownhouse Logistics and Construction Company is in fulfilment of Appolonia Estate Developers commitment to utilise local expertise on this project. We are confident in Crownhouse's ability to deliver Appolonia's roads to international standards,' said Country Manager of Rendeavour, Holger Adam, sponsors of the construction works.
The road network will primarily serve the residential developments of The Oxford, a turnkey housing estate, and the 'Buy & Build' development Nova Ridge, as well as future developments at Appolonia.
Speaking at the signing, Mr Emmanuel Offei, the General Manager of Crownhouse Logistics and Construction Company, said: 'We as a company are thrilled to be selected to deliver internal roads within the project area. Appolonia is now the community of choice for many people seeking a live-work-play lifestyle, and we will ensure the works are carried out in a timely manner and to the high standard expected by Appolonia.'
Crownhouse Logistics and Construction is a building and civil engineering construction company incorporated in Ghana. The company provides services for local and international construction, mining and real estate development firms.
The project is being developed for residential properties, retail and other commercial centres, as well as schools, healthcare and other social infrastructure.
