Suhum MCE Magoo Flees From Church as Eastern Regional Minister Deceives The Presbyterian Church of Ghana

The Eastern regional minister Hon. Ms Mavis Ama Frimpong together with the current MCE for Suhum Municipality, who also doubles as the NDC parliamentary candidate for Suhum Hon. Margaret Ansei, on 17th April, 2016 colluded to deceive the Presbyterian Church of Ghana : Emmanuel Congregation in the Suhum District, which was hosting the Akuapem Presbytery Annual conference from the 13th of April 2016 to the 17th of April 2016. Sunday the 17th of April Crowned it all with a fundraising activity in aid of eradicating “Presbyterian Congregations under Trees.”

The Chief Of Suhum Traditional area Osabarima Ayeh Kofi I, passionately pledged to fully sponsor the construction of two full Pavilions within his traditional boundaries. As Osabarima is a senior brother to the MP for Suhum Hon Frederick Opare - Ansah, the MCE, Mrs Margaret Ansei who at the time had just arrived with the Regional Minister as NDC and Government representatives after getting to know of Osabarima Ayeh Kofi I ’s pledge 'took off her shoes and took to her heels' out of the church premises as the priest was praying for the Chief and all eyes were closed. One concerned usher, a nurse by profession who saw Magoo at the car park, with her wig almost falling off, immediately panicked, thinking it was a health issue and asked her what the problem was?, her answer was, if this was Osabarima's [a brother to the MP] pledge, then she doesn't want to hear what the MP himself will say . All efforts to calm her down to let her know that God recognizes everyone’s contribution from the heart at the car park, proved futile, she adamantly left.

Ms Mavis Frimpong deserted by her MCE sat and sat and and waited for a long time, but Magoo was nowhere to be found. Then Ms Mavis Frimpong had to address the entire congregation with a hypocritical “Mandela’s speech”. In her speech, she indicated that, she was making a donation of a sum of GHS1,000 in cash readily enveloped and a pledge for some bags of cement. She received a lot of applause as she was nodding , grinning and squatting her way to her seat. But surprisingly and to the bewilderment of all, when the treasury checked her envelop, it contained only GHS 500 which was actually half of what she had declared. People started whispering and murmuring at the disgraceful act that a whole Regional Minister could orchestrate. The turn of events shocked church members who could not understand why a 'supposedly' Honourable Minister would engage in such falsehood. When she was confronted, she was fumbling for an excuse.

This is a clear case of Ananias and Sapphira in the Bible. Even in the house of God the NDC deceive the congregation and God Himself.
