Accra, May 6, GNA - Business Executives have been encouraged to develop positive attitudes and thinking about life in its entirety, in order to make ground-breaking improvements in their industries.

They were challenged to be able to control their thoughts and actions so as to develop both their physical and intellectual capabilities for growth.

Mr Robin Banks, an International Speaker and Mind Power Expert, who was addressing the MTN Ghana's 17th Business World Executive Breakfast meeting in Accra on Friday, said the mind's power is all about the discovery of ones negative believes, and making conscious efforts to change them.

'Never say I can't do… it is our mind that stops us from moving forward…our mind can paint pictures and make up stories', he said.

Mr Banks encouraged individuals to master the art of controlling their minds and shutting them up from negative thoughts so as to record progress in their lives as well as in their businesses.

He said he has dedicated his life to the transformation of global consciousness with an ultimate desire to empower people to take charge of their lives, and create a brighter future for themselves, their community, their country and the planet.

He based his address on the theme: 'Developing the Power of the Mind for Success,' saying the human mind could be to the computer, which processes whatever information is fed into it for an output.

He said it does not matter the kind of information that is fed unto the mind, the most the important thing is how the individual would direct the mind to use the information to produce what is expected or to direct an action.

He disagreed with the ancient sayings that 'Knowledge is Power', but said knowledge is only powerful when it is applied.

Mr Banks said knowledge gives power and liberates people, particularly young entrepreneurs, from their state of confusion about what they really want to do.

According to him, everything in the world started as a thought, but individuals must first know exactly what they want so that they could consciously choose their thoughts and confess them repeatedly to themselves until the achieved a physical manifestation.

Ms Jemima Kotei Walsh, Customer Care Executive at MTN, said the breakfast meetings are quarterly series of the MTN Business World magazine which are intended to provide an avenue for executive briefings, networking and matching platform for senior management professionals, entrepreneurs' and government officials to meet and discuss current business trends and opportunities in Ghana.
