'Children Of God Must Be Discerning, Stop Being Exploited'

For lack of knowledge my people perish is the biblical interpretation of today’s Christian life where undiscerning and gullible children of God have fallen preys to charlatans who claim they are from God.

These self-acclaimed prophets and men of God do not only perform “modern day wondrous miracles even more than Jesus did, but use cunning and diabolic ways to extort huge sums of monies from unsuspecting members of their congregation, who desperately seek miracles, signs and wonders.”

At the end of the day, they [so-called prophets] rather enrich themselves while the people they claim to have delivered and prayed for continue to live in anguish and impoverished lives, worse than they came for spiritual help.

But the head Pastor of the Goshen Prayer and Deliverance Ministry on the Spintex Road in Accra, David Obeng Nkansah, stated during his Easter Sunday message that, it would be foolish on the part of any child of God to fall victim to such practices.

Preaching on the theme: "Your Door is Opened", he stressed “there is an access you can get into the presence of God and present your petition; you don’t need the help of any pastor or any prophet,” he stressed.

And that access, according to him, is “having a well calculated relationship with the Lord and when that relationship is in place; you can call on Him even on your bed; you can call him even in your car; we can call on him at the work place and He will answer us. It is not only when you get to the sanctuary.”

“That is why I told you the gate is opened,” he indicated to the congregation.

He continued that Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection power, broke every protocol, which denied the saved from having access into the presence of God.

From then, anyone who gave his or her life to Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and personal saviour would not need to go through the rudiments of any ritual.

He noted “when Jesus came as a better sacrifice and died on the cross; the veil in the temple, which denied the people access into the presence of God; that veil was torn” and made way for God’s saved children to come into His presence with their supplications.

Therefore, “that is why it will be foolishness on your part as a child of God, born by the Spirit of God to go and give somebody milo; to go and give somebody cow; to give somebody cattle. To go and give somebody a car or a house and say because of this problem of my life I am giving you this; if you pray for me and it happens, you will have it,” he unequivocally stated.

He advised that “what you need is you having a well calculated relationship with the Lord and when that relationship is in place; you can call on Him even on your bed; you can call Him even in your car; we can call on Him at the work place and He will answer us. It is not only when you get to the sanctuary; that is why I told you the gate is opened.”
