A Non Governmental Organization, PAWORO-Ghana has donated items worth six thousand Ghana Cedis to students of St. Ignatius of Loyola senior high school in the Upper West region.

Founder the organization, Elizabeth Ako-Adjei donated items including sanitary pads and exercise books to the students.

Elizabeth Ako Adjei said she was touched to donate the items after she bumped in to a young girl at Varimpere in the Wa West district carrying firewood during her menstrual period. The girl told her she had been using rags during her period.

“I started saving for this project last year in October. Sometimes you have to take the initiative to do certain things in order to impact on the lives of people. When you do it well others emulate your good example for the betterment of society,’’ she added.
