Violence in Cape Coast: Angry youth on rampage against police

Angry youth in Cape Coast have attacked the police station in the area destroying dozens of properties belonging to the uniformed men, Sunday.

The attack, according to the youth is to avenge the death of one of their colleagues who died two days ago after the police swooped in on them.

Reports say the police raided the community to flash out criminal elements but one person died, a claim that has yet to be confirmed by the police.

The incensed youth besieged the premises of the police station and shattered a number of vehicles belonging to the police men.
