Accra, Oct 9, GNA - The Old Boys of Bishop Herman College are seeking to make their alma mater the preferred second cycle institution in the country.

This was contained in a draft strategic document christened 'BHOBU Strategic Framework, 2016-2026: Towards making BIHECO the number one school of choice.'

Details of the document would be discussed Saturday October 10, when the old boys congregate at GIMPA at a special Get-together and induction of newly elected executives.

The National Executive of the Bishop Herman Old Boys Union (BHOBU) would use the weekend gathering, to consult broadly with members in order to come out with a final document, which would be implemented from next year.

Bishop Herman College, founded some 63 years ago has been a star performer for many years and coming first in the whole of West Africa a couple of times.

Although the College continues to be one of the best in the country, the consistent sterling performance of the past students has not been sustained in recent years.

The Old Boys have, therefore, decided to reverse the trend.

The draft strategic framework seeks to create an enabling environment for staff and students, as well as the required drive to ensure consistent high performance by the students.

The National President of BHOBU, Prof. Anthony Sallah, challenged all old boys of the College to turn up in their numbers, to chart a new path for the College.

He said BHOBU would work closely with stakeholder institutions such as the Roman Catholic Church, the Ministry of Education as well as the Ghana Education Service and the traditional authorities in Kpando, to ensure a smooth roll out of the strategic document.
