Wild Hunt For Serial Fraudster As Residents Vow To Lynch Him

The Alleged Fraudster, Who Uses Multiple Names Like, Ekow Mensah, Sir Caleb And Caleb Ampah To Dupe Unsuspecting People

Residents of Cape Coast Kwaprow, a town around the University of Cape Coast (UCC) in the Central region, have vowed to take the law into their own hands and beat to pulp or lynch a serial confident trickster who moves around taking monies from people under the pretext of supplying them with brand new laptops.

The man in question goes about his dubious deals by using different names which include Ekow Mensah, Caleb Ampah, Sir Caleb, Don Caleb among others on social media networks Facebook and WhatsApp.

He allegedly succeded in defrauding about 12 people by taking GHC1,000 (One Thousand Ghana Cedis) from each of them rounding up to about GHC12,000 (Twelve Thousand Ghana Cedis).

Checks have further revealed that the run away fraudster has engaged in this act for close to about a year now and his victims has mostly been students.

According to some of the victims who narrated the incident to your authoritative ModernGhana, as soon as he convinces someone to pay, you will never set eyes on him anywhere as all his contact numbers become inactive the next day.

Some of the contact numbers he has used to carry out the operations are as follows: 0548 94 66 51, 0264563590 and 0279 73 51 83.

One of the victims, who happened to be a lady, who for security reasons pleaded anonymity revealed that she is yet to get her laptop after making payment close to 8-months now.

"All his contact lines are not going through so we have vowed this time that anywhere we find him we will ensure that he is beaten up very well to teach him a lifetime lesson. We do get information that he comes around when students are on vacation but we shall surely grab him one day," she told ModernGhana.
