Former Member of Parliament for Ayawaso Central, Sheikh I.C Quaye has prompted stakeholders to formulate attainable educational policies to ensure that the youth derive maximum benefit from the country's educational sector.

He said policy makers must act to set clear objectives for the sector because an education system without a definite focus could affect young people in subsequent years.

'A system of education without clearly defined targets and purpose will only serve to confuse the future generation. We have to be careful that our youth are taught with proper learning materials in an effective manner to ensure they are actually learning rather than simply becoming conduits of data,' I.C Quaye stated.

I.C. Quaye was speaking at a public lecture as part of events marking the 75th anniversary of Odorgonno Senior High School in Accra quality education was crucial towards social development therefore essential tools must be provided for its effective delivery.

According to the former MP who had 15 years experience in Parliament, there cannot be meaningful progress if the country is immersed in corrupt practices.
