Help Develop Your Alma Maters-Yammin
05.10.2015 LISTEN

Former Deputy Ashanti regional minister; Joseph Yammin has asked alumni of various schools to join hands in the development of their alma maters since government cannot handle the burden of accelerated development of the country’s education alone.

He says the government is doing its best but added that old students are in a strategic position to make very relevant contributions to the development of their former schools.

Joseph Yammin was speaking at the homecoming ceremony of the 1995 year group of Prempeh College during which they donated an 850 watt solar power facility worth 65,000 cedis to the school.

The donation was to help the students study in this time of power crisis which has affected every facet of Ghanaian life.

The 1995 group fraternized with the students and shared ideas with them on how to study effectively as well as get scholarship opportunities outside Ghana to pursue further education.

The excited students who were full of praise for their seniors promised to put the facility to good use.
