An NDC Parliamentary aspirant in Wa central constituency is calling for a ceiling to the tenure of office for Members of Parliament.

The aspirant, Jamaldeen Akokura, who picked a form to contest the NDC primaries on Friday said this will pave way for the nurturing of younger people to take up leadership positions in the country.

According to him, the situation where an individual stays in parliament for several years does not augur well for the development of country's democracy.

On what he is bringing on board, Mr. Akokura said he Will focus on human resource development in the constituency. He said"instead of teaching people how to eat fish, I will teach my people how to fish".

The aspirant added that he Will also use education to add value to the teeming youth in the area.

The Wa Central constituency has seen four individuals so far picking forms to contest in the primaries slated for 7th November 2015.

The four include current MP Rashid Pelpuo, Dr. Mushaibu Alfa(deputy Upper West regional minister), Mahama Iddrisu (former regional director of the GES) and Jamaldeen Akokura.
