Terror!! As Destooled Chief Cum Landguards Ambush Royal Family

Abore Yamoah, a destooled chief of Gomoa Fetteh in the Central Region and his allies landguards allegedly visited mayhem on elders of the Abor Ewusi Twidan Royal family and some members of the community.

A victim, Nana Kwaw Bediako, Gyasehene of the Abor Ewusi Twidan Royal family appeals to President Mahama, the Inspector General of Police [IGP], Chief of Defence Staff [CDS], National Security Coordinator and the Chief Justice to as a matter of urgency arrest and prosecute the leader of the Landguard group, Akwesi Alhaji.

He appeals to the authorities to disband and prosecute the group who allegedly are the armed robbers terrorizing the people of Kasoa and its environs.

He calls for the immediate arrest and prosecution of the self-imposed chief Abore Yamoah whom the Landguard’s leader [Akwesi Alhaji] claim in public glare that he [Abore Yamoah] killed one Ebusuapanyin Nana Otchere Mpantu who was gruesomely murdered at a point ranged gun shot.

Nana Kwaw Bediako briefed the media that on their way returning from a customary performance at the royal house as part of the ‘Akwanbo’ festival celebration, they, at a very short distance, met a group wielding machetes, pump action guns and other weapons on Friday August 28th, 2015.

According to him, at a closer shot, the group [Landguards] led by Akwesi Alhaji allegedly fired gun shots at them, assaulted their entourage including a military personnel who in solidarity had come to support his brother in the family.

Nana Kwaw Bediako alleged that the leader of the Landguards, Kwesi Alhaji beat to unconsciousness one Nana Ahomka, Ankobeahene [sub-chief], Okyeame Francis Kofi Baah [Linguist] of the Abor Ewusi royal family, a victim known as Vandam and many others.

He said it was the timely intervention of the police that brought the situation under control before they seek medical treatment.

According to him, Gomoa Fetteh is one on the brinks of chaos and conflict and more dangerously in this festive period where people had travelled home to join and celebrate the festival which ends in September 6^th, 2015.

He added that the absence of the Police Station which was removed without any tangible reason has given the self-styled chief and his dangerous cohorts the leeway to hijack the lands and other properties belonging to the stool.

Nana Kwaw Bediako explained that self-styled chief Abore Yamoah was not traditionally enstooled but managed to acquire gazette through fraudualent means and was later stripped off same by the National House of Chiefs.

He indicated that the family further secured an injunction [with writ] which clearly prevents him from sitting in state or superintending the festival as the chief of Gomoa Fetteh.

He said, in spite of all that, the self-imposed chief is ignoring and disregarding the law by fronting as the chief even during festivals and other social gatherings.
