Daniel Amoateng receives 2015 GUBA Humanitarian Award

The President of Daniel Amoateng Foundation (DANAF), Daniel Amoateng has been awarded the 2015, Ghana UK –based Achievers’ Award (GUBA) humanitarian award in London.

The Ghana UK-based Achievement (GUBA) Awards is an annual awards ceremony based in Britain which recognizes the "hugely significant" contribution that British-Ghanaians make to society.

The GUBA Awards set to recognise Ghanaian achievement aims at showcasing and celebrating excellence and achievement within the British-Ghanaian community as well as acknowledging the outstanding and valuable services provided to Ghanaians in the UK and Ghana.

Pastor Daniel Amoateng doubles up as an entrepreneur who deals in real estate and a Philanthropist. He is also the creator of Ghana's premier smartphone Tourism App called Xploreghana App. Daniel Amoateng who is also the pastor of the London Prayer Centre in the UK.

His foundation, the Daniel Amoateng Foundation through which his philanthropic activities are carried out across the world projected to win the 2015 GUBA Humanitarian award. The award was to recognize and celebrate the humanitarian activities he has carried out in various countries.

According to Daniel Amoateng, his decision to carry out humanitarian activities is to encourage Ghanaians and for that matter Africans to cultivate the habit of supporting their own in times of crisis. This, he demonstrated when he took a great stand by travelling to Sierra Leone to help support the orphans of the Ebola outbreak and gave out scholarships to some school children. Last year, he was in Liberia to help as well.

“In Africa we don’t not know how to support our own. We always have to look up to the United Nations, the United Nations Children Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to support us. My aim is to ensure that Africans learn how to support their own and gradually rise to the status of being philanthropist”, he reiterated.

Daniel Amoateng who self-finances his philanthropic activities hopes to extend to the various African countries. “I visited Sierra Leone last year to cater for orphans from the Ebola outbreak. My foundation also provided scholarships for these orphans last year and I also visited Liberia to also cater for the needy”, he stressed.

Pastor Daniel Amoateng has revealed that he has intentions of supporting victims of the June 3^rd Flood and fire disaster victims. He also intends to visit Sudan to extend his humanitarian activities to the less privilege and orphans there. Daniel Amoateng’s humanitarian activities have granted him audience with several heads of state and have also earned him a honorary citizen of Sierra Leone. His humanitarian activities have spanned on for two years and there is still more he hopes to achieve.

Other recipients of the fifth anniversary GUBA awards on that night at the London Hilton Metropole Hotel was Dr. Kwabena Duffour, Rev. Kingsley Appeagyei, Nathaniel Kwabena Adisi (Bola Ray), Dr. Rosalind Aryee and Prof. Azumah Nelson and Osei Kwame Despite who took home the GUBA Exceptional Achievement Award, GUBA Benevolence Award, GUBA Media and Entertainment Award, GUBA Inspirational Woman, GUBA Sporting Legend and GUBA Enterprise Mogul respectively.

Pastor Daniel Amoateng is the author of about 7 best selling Prophetic books. These include ‘Exposing Dream Killers’, ‘why was I born’, ‘500 Wise Words and Life Killers’, 'Guarding and Protecting Your Prophetic Word’ and ‘Dreams and their interpretations’. He holds a BSc degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters Degree in Construction Management (MSc) from City University, London. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Business Management and Doctorate in Divinity from Vision International University in California.

Daniel Amoateng has been featured on Joy News TV to speak on humanitarianism as part of the world humanitarian day which fell on August 20.
