World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Office was held in Pakistan with the subject of ‘Peace in each religion’s Holy scripture’

Pakistan- Multan On Aug 4th 2015, The World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Office Meeting co-hosted by Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) and Pakistan Women's Rights Association that is a non-profit organization for social, political and economic rights of underprivileged women was held at ‘Women's Rights Association office’ in Multan. Religious representatives from Islam, Christianity, and Hinduism attended in the meeting. They had time to compare their respective scriptures under the subject of “What is the definition of peace in religious scriptures” and discuss the solution to achieve peace.

In the session, there was O/X questionnaire time with five questions: 1. I think all countries of this world can achieve true peace. 2. Most of wars and conflicts were caused by religions. 3. The role of religious people is important is stop wars and conflicts. 4. In my religion’s scripture, there is a definition on “peace,” and I can introduce it. 5. I know other religions also talk about peace in their scriptures.

Religious leaders, women, and youth members in the meeting tried to find the solution to accomplish peace from their scriptures, while answering the questions. One of the speakers said: “Peace is when people are able to resolve their conflicts without violence and can work together to improve the quality of their lives. ” Women members of Pakistan Women's Rights Association, co-hosting this peace event, and youth group leaders attended this session and listened to the thoughts of religious leaders. They also thought their role in bring peace to their nation and the world.

The WARP Office aims to prevent the conflicts caused by religious misunderstandings and bring peace by gaining deeper understandings of the standards and teachings of each religion. Presentations and discussions to propose a more effective way toward peace are the central goal of the office. Peace offices that engage the local and regional communities of all religions are arising all over the world. The WARP office of HWPL is already being established globally with 85 offices in 51 countries, including Philippine, America, England, and India.

HWPL is the organization established in 2013 by Chairman Man Hee Lee and has worked for world peace by cooperating with former and current presidents, religious leaders, and leaders of youth and women groups. The movement for peace which is suggested by HWPL is WARP Office, which aims to make harmony among religions and to enact the international law for the cessation of war. The peace activities of HWPL around the world led to the success of the historical World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Summit in Seoul, South Korea on September 17th – 18th. About 4,000 current and former presidents, political leaders, chief justices, religious leaders, youth and women group leaders came together, signed the peace agreement, and promised to work together with HWPL.

Pakistan’s first WARP Office is expected to play a key role as catalyst to remind the Islamic countries of the importance of peace. In this event, it was even more noteworthy that religious leaders who opened their heart and positively discussed the way of achieving peace in the HWPL’s WARP Office in Pakistan.
