MTN Launches Mobile Money Month

MTN Ghana will on today Wednesday August 5th, launch its Mobile Money Month across its business districts. The MTN Mobile Money Month which was introduced in 2012 is celebrated in August each year to deepen awareness among Ghanaians of the benefits of the MTN mobile money service.

This year’s celebration is under the theme “Mobile Money, driving financial inclusion in Ghana” and will be marked by a series of activities across MTN Ghana’s three Business districts of Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi.

There are a number of activities outlined for the month-long celebrations, including the MTN Mobile Money Stakeholder Workshop slated for Wednesday, August 12, 2015 to discuss the role of MTN Mobile Money in the drive towards financial inclusion in Ghana. Other activities to be undertaken include the SME Drive, Market Activations and Merchant Fora as well as fraud awareness training for the merchants.
