The Man To Rescue Ghana

The Man To Rescue Ghana
02 AUG 2015 LISTEN

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. (Psalm 118:8KJV).

Day in and day out people in our beloved country criticise a ruling government. This is so because we need a saviour for our nation. But my worry is do we need another saviour?

About 2,000 years ago the messianic prophecies which were writtenin the Laws of Moses, the prophets and Psalmswas fulfilled by Jesus Christ of Nazareth. He came to save the world. After his resurrection he told his disciples that all authorities have being given unto him. (Mattew 28:18).From John 14:27 Jesus said‘Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.’ Peace is from the Greek word ‘eirene’ which means prosperity, completeness or wholeness in everything. The secret to the peace he left us is abiding in him (John 15:1-16), thus trusting and obeying him.

I do not tie my success to the fortune of a politician. Don’t get me wrong, I vote because I render unto Caesar what is due to Caesar and beside as a citizen of Ghana it is my right to vote. From President Kwame Nkrumah to President Mahamah which of them has been able to deliver all what he promise to Ghana. We should not blame our leaders for the crisis we are in because if we point our finger at a diection the rest of the four fingers will point at us. One person cannot build a nation. It takes patriotism, teamwork, discipline and hard work from all of us.

The hardship we are in was not caused any of our leaders but has been there from the beginning of the world (Genesis 3:17-19).Who go to the sitting president for a feeding fee daily? From Psalm 126:5 ‘‘those who sow in tears shall reap in joy’’ and Ecclesiastes 5:19 states that ‘‘every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God’’.God cares for us more than the birds of the air who do not sow nor reap (Mattew 6:25-33). We should depend on him than to put our trust in man.

We should refrain from insults, and all forms of things which will bring fear and panic to our nation. From Mattew 5:22 ‘‘but I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire’’. (Raca: that is, vain fellow). Politics will pave way for a lot of people to go to hell. Politics is a game and if you do not understand the rules of the game then don’t play it. All those vying for the positions understand the game and live at peace with other, how more about us the spectators. It is about time we stop putting our trust in men for we have seen all their tricks. We should stop giving our heart to politicians but rather fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our salvation. Only He can deliver us.
