#RespectTheBlogger: A Letter To Ghanaian Celebrities

RespectTheBlogger: A Letter To Ghanaian Celebrities
31.07.2015 LISTEN

This is a satirical open letter to all Ghanaian celebrities from Sir Article, #1 Teenage Blogger who owns sirarticle.blogspot.com and is the Editor-In-Chief of livegh.com . So who is a blogger? And what is a blog? A blogger is a writer who shares his experiences, observations, opinions and news with his audience on a blog. A blog is an informational site displaying articles in a chronological order with pictures, videos and web links which is run by a blogger. As a young Ghanaian blogger, I have managed a harboured feeling bothering with the dignity of the blogger for a long time; and so this article is long overdue.

Also, my business manager tells me that self-worth should be my light as a blogger in dealing with stars especially. However, the apparent backwardness of blogging in Ghana through unprofessional blogging is literally denting the image of bloggers. And some uncultured celebrities in Ghana feel free to scorn the blogger since they have minimum reverence for him. But I think they are right to some extent, because some bloggers write unguarded things with malice which eventually defile the character of the celebrities concerned.

Moreover, offended celebrities should know how to deal with far-fetched stories about them with maturity. Ghanaian celebrities depend on Ghanaian bloggers to build their brands; and Ghanaian bloggers depend on Ghanaian celebrities to earn a living indirectly. That is why Ghanaian bloggers need to be intellectual in their work while Ghanaian celebrities should act logically in their celebrated lives. Above all, Ghanaian celebrities must honour their unfulfilled obligations towards Ghanaian bloggers since we are the lifeblood of Ghanaian showbiz. Lastly, it´s high time Ghanaian bloggers rose to the challenge in the 21st Century.
