As Uganda is preparing for presidential Elections next year, the Justice forum-(JEEMA), Uganda’s smartest political party, will hold its fifth delegates conference, to elect new leadership to take it beyond 2016 .

The conference will be held on the 30th and 31st of July 2015 at a venue yet to be announced.

JEEMA with its number one position as the smartest party in Uganda, and well known for policy formulation and other research activities , this time it has come up with a different technique that will be used to avoid scams and rigging of votes during the fourth coming party elections.

JEEMA will show the country that the time is now to be innovative, thus, using the existing Technology which saves time and resources.

’Ballot papers and boxes have been used since time immemorial; it is high time, the party shifted to another level in information Technology’, the acting Secretary General Omar Kalinge Nnyago stressed.

According to head of the It department, Chris Mwaaka, voting will be done electronically, no Ballot papers will be used.

JEEMA is Uganda’s only E-Smart Party, no party has dared using this 21st Century Technology before, and that makes it to be a unique party in the country.

In Africa it is only Nigeria that used the E-voting system in the recently finished presidential elections and it somehow succeeded, not withstanding some few loopholes reported here and there in some states.

According to the Chairman Electoral Commission Alhaji Ibrahim Nsaba, everything is moving on well as planned.

Road map and guide lines are already been dispatched to those candidates intending to stand in their respective areas.

JEEMA has just organized a consultative meeting comprising of youth and women from all over the country.

A one day event took place at the party headquarters in Mengo-Rubaga on the 6th and 7th of this month, and a total of over two hundred delegates plus attended, the first ever historical gathering.

Other dignitaries who blessed the event were Party President Asuman Basaalirwa and his Secretary General M.P Husein Kyanjo, who made few remarks to the delegates.

The theme of the event was ‘Strengthening internal Democracy.
