Anane Institute Trains Techiman Journalists

The Anane Institute, a research and training company, has organized a capacity building seminar for journalists in Techiman. The twenty five participants came from Asta FM, Classic FM, Gaskiya FM, Agyenkwa FM, Winners FM and Techiman Times.

The journalists were trained in media ethics and professionalism. Mr Eric Bawa, the General Manager of Classic FM, who was one of the resource persons for the seminar, urged the journalists in the Brong Ahafo region to be ethical and professional.

Mr Edward Twum Anane, a lecturer at the Catholic University, who facilitated the seminar, appealed to the journalists in the region to use the internet resources to enhance their skills. He also asked the National Media Commission to be interested in the working with owners of media companies to improve the working conditions of journalists.

All the participants received certificate of participation. The Executive Director of the Anane Institute said in his closing remarks that seminars will also be organized for journalists in Sunyani, Berekum, Goaso and Atebubu.
