Hundreds of aged have hit on the principal streets of Kumasi metropolis of the Ashanti Region to demonstrate against the President Mahamma over the current economic crises in the country.

The demonstration also aimed to tell and draw attention of the president Mahama on the erratic power fluctuations, the collapse of the NHIS, the cancellation of allowances of trainee students in the various health and teacher training colleges.

The old men women aged between 60 and 90 years dressed in red and black with red bands dancing to the tune of locally "adoa" songs.

These aged said, they are dammed after hearing countless of promisses from sector ministers, government communications persons and the President John Dramani Mahamma to fix the problems but to no avail hence, the " Mmerewa resu" demonstration.

"We the aged in the society, are displeased with the level of emotional and economic hardship, disturbing the peace and progress ofntje country". They stated.

According to the organizer of mmerewa resu ,Maama Serwah 78 years woman amid the negative effect the menace is having on the society.

"We the aged believed we cannot sit down unconcerned, therefore calling on all ensundry to support this wealthy course of displaying our displeasure to the global community about the mammoth effect of 'Dumsor' on the country socioeconomic development". She lamented.

She said, the inception of this 'dumsor' menace had not only distressed citizens, but business have also been crippled as well.

The "Mmerewa result" demonstration also fight to favor tjeir colleagues and daughters who are engaging businesses who suffer the effects of the power crises

In an interview with ModernGhana, she emphasize that, Printing press bussineses have also been highly affected with the canker ,most hospitals and health center are engulfed in darkness and those trying to cope with situation are laying the cost of patients following the hike of fuel prices.
