Akropong Gets New Magistrate Court

A district magistrate court has been commissioned at Akropong a community in the Atwima nwabiagya district of the Ashanti region.

The new court commissioned by the district’s chief executive, Hon. Asare Bediako, and the chief of Akropong Nana Appiah sarfo kantanka among other representatives from the regional judicial office, will serve as a place where residents and people within the jurisdicted area, seek redress for justice prevailing.

Nana Appiah, speaking at the commissioning said, the court have come at a right time when the community needs it most.

He said, it will help fight and reduce crime at the area. According to him, the community has been experiencing violent and speedily crime rate due to unavailability of the judiciary at the place.

He said, the police have been performing greater task to ensure vivid security, but the present of the court will strengthen their activities in greater perspective.

Nana further advised his people to give the necessary respects to the judicial services to make the work effective. He charged them not to put the law into their own hands, but rather, should report any grievances to appropriate authorities.

On his part, the DCE Hon. Bediako said congratulated the chiefs and the people for their candid support dring the construction of the project.

He stated, the project was funded with internal generated fund of the district assembly. He added, the assembly is eager for more developmental projects in the district to secure peace and development.

He charges the people to be law abiding, and give respect to the law.
