Quarshigah donates computers to schools

Abor, May 24, GNA - Mr Richard Quarshigah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Keta, has donated a cheque for GH¢ 50,000 to the Keta Municipal Education Directorate, for renovation works on a number of educational institutions in the area.

The beneficiary schools include Abor SHS, for its Science Laboratory, Dzelukope-Nolovime, Abor EP Primary, Kedzi-Horvi Zion Basic and Dzelukope RC Basic.

The MP announced this at separate functions at Keta and Abor, where he denoted 1,000 copies of 'The Cockcrow' to schools to increase reading comprehension skills among Junior High School Students.

A total of 37 Junior High Schools will share the copies.

Mr Quarshigah also donated five computers each to seven schools in the area. The computers were solicited from the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC).

Beneficiary schools are Afiadenyigba RC JHS, Sasieme JHS, Asadame JHS, Keta RC, Dzelukope RC, Adzido MC JHS and Horvi JHS.

Mr Quarshigah said the passion he had for education would continue to move him to do everything possible to help improve education in the area.

He advised pupils and teachers to work hard to justify the investments made in them.

Mr Raphael Kwashie, the Keta Municipal Director of Education appealed to well meaning people and organisations to emulate the gesture of the MP.
