MAY 24, 2015 LISTEN

A startling revelation available to rawgist.com exposes another nefarious act of financial aggrandizement and mismanagement of Internal General Fund by the MCE for Ejura Sekyedumase municipal Assembly.

Last year, the MCE was in the news for spending about 60, 000. 00 IGF on funeral donations and on social events.

Today, the MCE is under serious pressure mounted on him by Assembly Members after he claimed to have plastered and cemented the floor of the sizeable already constructed CHIPS COMPOUND at a plethoric amount of Four Hundrend and Fifty Thousand..

party executives in the constituency and loyalies of Alhaji Braimah showered praises including nicknaming him "Adwumawura" on different occassion and platforms including social media giant, facebook after he revealed the cost of the project.

Some Assembly members who got hacked off about the development has described as "overextravagant and opulent" the spending and has strongly vowed to initiate series of uncompromise action againts the MCE. They are however calling for an appropriate and accurate accountabilty of the maintanance works done by the MCE.

The CHIPS COMPOUND is located at Kyenkyenkura in the municipality about 25kms from the municipal capital, Ejura. The Kyenkyenkura and about 20 communities seek medical care at a classroom with only two beds for pregnant women and all manner of patients.

Due to this appalling situation, the former Memebr of Parliament for the area, Alhaji Mohammed Yussif Pangabu in 2010 secured a contract to build a CHIPS COMPOUND to alliviate the suffering of the people in terms of health care at a cost of GH720,00. Information shows that the former legislator was paid in full before he could start the project.

Interestingly, the former MP did not only missed dead lines but also abondoned the project at it knee level citing financial challenge.

It was later fully found that Mr. Pangabu diverted the money into his 2012 parliamentary campaign which he was heavely defeated for the first by a candidate for the NPP, Hon. Mohammed Sualisu Bamba.

The situation angered residents of the communities and prompted a serious BNI invesgations. The then health accountant in the municipal hospital was arrested in the process and subsequently dismissed for unclear charges. The Former MP was however invited.

A report of the BNI investigation cited, instructed the former MP to ensure the completion of the project with immediate effect and futher report back to the officials.

All along, the people was still seeking health service in the classroom. In 2013, the new member of parliament for the constituency, Sualisu Bamba offered to continued the project with his common fund but the MCE utterly protested and declined saying the case is still under investigation. The MP after being frustrated by the MCE became fed up and build a fully furnished CHIPS CPOMPOUND for SarchiKura, community in the municipal at around GH70,000.00.

As we speak, there have been a completion of the project but the BNI is yet to make findings of their investigation public. The residents are also demanding to know the achtect behind the completion of the project..

But just about a year when the MCE declared his intentions to run for the parliamentary seat, he defied with contempt the supposed investigation by the BNI and went ahead to carry out maintenance works on the project, and just for coating the walls of the building and rendering the floor of the bulding he used GH450,000.00..

The MCE was not available for comments.
