Unpaid Bgms Workers

Unpaid Bgms Workers

Dear Sir,

Kindly offer me a space in your widely read medium to paint the unsaid bloody hound haunting and sniffing closer to extinction if not trapped in our Community due to the fact that,we are in oblivion.

I refer to the above highlighted to address an unfair industrial attitude that a labour force(Ghanaian youth) encountered with Better Ghana Management Service(BGMS) in the health sector last year,it failed to pay the(6Months) salary of their staff nationwide. This ironically defiles the Late Prez JEA Mills' dream of Better Ghana Agenda, which the NDC goverment is spearheading to excellence.

Albeit, one can not fairly deny the efforts of the Mahama led government in achieving this, delicates issues like non payment of wages and salaries, abrupt redundancy of labour will also spurt the rate of crime since the idle brain is the devils workshop and the aftermath is rumor of nameless fears, the workers are afraid to voice out since such a would be group could be victimized during their contract renewal though operations seem to be expired and fading out. One can envisage the pain and stress these workers would endured till this day amidst numerous complains in the light to their weaker front that the BGMS has been playing like a game of chess.

Although the BGMS and Better Ghana Agenda seems synonymous there is a sharp contrast in their targets at the eleventh hour. The paradox of it is that, whiles it is undisputed the Mahama led government is assiduously working round the clock in a radial direction to hit target yet feigns to be in oblivion of thiS UNPAID SALARIES relative to others and this leaves much to be desired.

In the light of the above coupled with the recent salary increment and leaving this stone unturned helps the Ghanaian citizenry to acknowledge that, war against corruption sounds theoretical since such a delicate issue lies at the threshhold of the government. In this vein, lip service rules over the patriotic acts and this will devour our society softly irrespective of our backgrounds.

The BGMS has reneged its numerous promises to their staff in a crafty serial order considering their circles of information flow whereas the big wigs hinder the publication of such a delicate issue to the good people of Ghana thus delaying and

imperceptibly denying such a payment whereas other workers enjoy salary increment.

Like a reveille, this sounds a wake up call from dusk to dawn to the apt stakeholders, institutions and especially His Excellency, the Prez JM to fathom and ensure the woes of the Ghanaian youth at the said office dealt with as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully,

ESHUN STEPHEN KWAME.
