Africa Award For AMA Boss Is Bogus

The Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr says the Mayor of Accra, Dr. Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije, has done nothing for the people of Accra for him to be awarded the Best Mayor of Africa.

Pratt says Accra is dirty while he sits down doing nothing and that he (Pratt) does not see the need for him to be awarded.

Dr. Okoe Vanderpuije won the inaugural edition of the prestigious President Jose Edurado Dos Santos Africa Mayor Awards held in Angola over the weekend.

Commenting on the award on Atinka AM Drive hosted by Kwame Adinkra on Monday, Kwesi Pratt asked, “what kind of country is this where the Mayor of Accra's return to the country after receiving an award could cause heavy traffic”.

He said, “Kwame can you believe that I went to the Airport to pick my visitor and we had to be in the traffic for well over an hour because the Mayor of Accra has been awarded. Look at how Accra is? Award for what? We are tired of that man!”
