Accra, April. 26, GNA - The North Legon branch of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) is to construct a school, a community library and a hospital at Ashongman, in Accra to cater for the educational and health needs of the people in the community.

The church is currently providing streetlights as part of measures to curb armed robbery in the community.

The Reverend Emmanuel Duah-Mensah, Head Pastor, disclosed this at the launch of the 10th Anniversary celebration of the church at Ashongman, near Madina on Sunday.

Activities planned for the month-long celebration, which is on the theme ''From the Wilderness to the Promised Land,' include, Medical Screening, Talk Show, Gospel Rock Show, Clean-up exercise and a Thanksgiving Service.

Rev. Duah-Mensah said it was the policy of the church to support the community in which it operates'.

"As part of our social responsibility, we deem it necessary to support the community', he said, adding that, this would go a long way to improve the living standards of the people in the community.

Rev. Duah-Mensah urged the youth to desist from "get-rich-quick attitude" and be addicted to the word of God to enable them to succeed in life.

He urged religious leaders to desist from acts which may tarnish the image of the clergy.
