Winneba (C/R), April 18, GNA - Alhaji Mulvi Mohammed Bin Salih, Ameer of Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana, says justice and equity are the main ingredients of peace in the world.

To this end, he urged powerful and rich nations not to usurp the right of the poorer and weaker nations.

Alhaji Mulvi Bin Salih made the remark at a symposium organised by the University of Education, Winneba branch of the Ahmadi Muslim Students Association of Ghana at Winneba.

The theme for the symposium was: 'The Pathway to World Peace.'

He said when the powerful nations cultivate the habit of equality they would help in establishing the much-expected world peace which has eluded mankind for many centuries.

Alhaji Mulvi Bin Salih urged poor and weaker countries not to inflict harm on the rich nations whenever the opportunity arises.

He said both sides should endeavour should abide by the principle of justice all the time as commanded by the Almighty God.

He said: 'This contemporary world has failed to find peace because of lack of justice, equity and truth; and dangerously continuing to pose great threat on world peace, stability and progress.'

He said it is wrong for any nation or party to ever look envious at the resources and wealth of another, adding that no country should seek to unjustly appropriate or take over the resources of another on the false pretense of trying to assist or support.

Alhaji Mulvi Bin Salih said no nation should take control of the natural resources or assets of the developing countries on the basis of providing technical expertise or assistance.

The developed nations should put aside their vested interests, and instead help the less-developed with truly selfless attitude of fellow-feeling spirit,' he said.
