The Sovereign Masses Against The Wayward Politicians.

I feel an overwhelming compulsion to exercise my sovereignty as an ordinary citizen of Ghana being a teenage pan-africanist. That is why I have started with article writing though it is a limited way in order to free some of my haboured emotions! Political deprivation has prevented most of the masses from exercising their constitutionally guaranteed sovereignty. However, the masses do not even make frantic efforts to ascertain, appreciate and eventually exercise this overriding right they possess. So the sovereign masses would continue to be at the mercy of the wayward politicians!

Also, most of our politicians are wayward in every sense of this adjective. Damn it, these servants of the sovereign masses have succeeded in turning this relationship through cheap politicking over the years! And they continue to insult the intelligence of the sovereign masses with their waywardness. But I understand that this is the ridiculous effect of prioritising political partisanship over your constitutional sovereignty! Why should a few greedy servants live in economic paradise at the expense of their many sovereign masters' well-being?

Moreover, Sarkodie in his latest track, "The Masses" said that: "...wobu nipa kwasia ky3 a, debi neni tse...!" This striking rap line in that track is more than true but it is long overdue in our neocolonised country. Kwesi Pratt Jnr always laments that the masses are not angry enough to turn things around in our country. And there are countless ways to exercise your sovereignty even as an individual, but wisdom must produce your serious actions. It is high time the sovereign masses punished our wayward politicians. I am therefore challenging myself to live pan-africanism to repel our political mess!
