Is Wontumiology Vibrating NDC Base In Ashanti?
05.03.2015 LISTEN

The very political foundation of the my part –The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ashanti seemed to have been shaken to ground zero as a result of recent “cracks” exhibition by the two most powerful forces in the party-the appointed administrators and the party leadership.

The incident as unfortunate as it may be, has vindicated my position and assertion that certain forces other done those from within the NDC may be at play.

Months ago, I wrote an article captioned “IS WONTUMI BECOMING A PROPHET” and published by some of the major online news portals in Ghana. In the said publication I narrated how most of the concerns raised by Chairman Wontumi in many of his public statements, were gradually becoming associated with the views of the grassroots populace. Even some senior members of my party-NDC did share in some of the concerns and issues he raised. Critical among the issues raised in that publication were the fact that most Ghanaians saw the President and his brother as milking cows who are trying to suck the nation dry.

Others concerns expressed by the Ashanti Regional chap were the rise in corruption incidences, the collapse of industry, the worsening energy crises, as well the internal party crises within the NDC.

On the latter concern, I stated how dangerous Wontumi could be to the very unity and survival of the NDC in Ashanti, especially after he vowed to ensure the failure of my party's most touted operation one million votes in Ashanti region.

Many in my party were among those who downplayed the threat posed by this young gentleman. Monitoring his activities from afar however, I can see that the actions of the NPP youngest regional Chairman are indirectly shaking the very fabric of my party in the region.

With three gargantuan demonstrations to his credit, one does not need an expert from the moon to tell those of in the NDC that our party's popularity is weaning in the Ashanti region.

Aside that Chairman Wontumi has been heard on several platforms vowing to stop the advancement of the “operation one million votes” by ensuring that he plants an effective confusion mechanism in the leadership of the party in Ashanti.

Little did I believe his claims, but with what is transpiring now, resulted in the historic dismissal of a substantive minister and his deputy, I'm tempted to think twice and begin to see this Wontumi guy as a real threat to the very success of my party in 2016.

A word to the wise in enough!!!!!
Let those with ears and eyes hear and see what I'm experiencing
