The president nominee for the Bunkpurugu/Yunyoo District, Hon Timothy Sampoa Laari, was confirmed 91.1% by the Assembly members of the Bunkpurugu/Yunyoo District in the Northern Region. 41 people voted yes to confirm him out of 45 members who were present and casted their votes under the watch of the Electoral Commission of Ghana.

Hon Timothy Sampoa Laari, who has been a staff of the Ghana Education Service in the Bunkpurugu/Yunyoo District before his appointment, thank, His Excellency the President of Ghana for his appointment

Being amongst the first persons to start recording and producing peace /unity and loving Bimoba Tracks(Songs) in the district , The new DCE, appealed to the entire gathering especially , Chiefs, Religious Leaders, Departments Heads , Party faithful, Opinion leaders , the Youth and family members to support him to serve the district with integrity devoid of troubles.

Hon Timothy , showed gratitude to the Assembly Members who gave him the needed cooperation, by coming together as one family with a common purpose to grant him this awesome endorsement. He added that, what next now is for them to come together improve the living conditions of our people especially in area of Education, Health, Agriculture, and Security.

As an Assemblyman for the Yunyoo-Naagu electoral area, Hon Laari pledged to work hard to validate the confidence reposed in him by the President and the Assembly members. The popular Bimoba musician called all to get rid of negative attitudes that would divide the district and focus on how they can collectively bring the ongoing National Development set by President John Mahama into the Bunkpurugu/Yunyoo District.

I am confident that, when we desist from conflict and any manner of troubles for just three (3) years, we would all be a living witness to the overwhelming development that will hit the district. Hon Laari added.

Mr. Timothy Laari, thank the Northern regional Minister and his affable Deputy for the role they played in the entire confirmation process, he said the deputy minister who has been acting as the DCE for the area has run the administration with openness and that has inspired him to apply same when sworn inn.

In an exclusive interview with the Young and vibrant new DCE, he noted that, one person he will not forget as a matter of administration and political experience is the immediate past DCE Hon, Philip Laari, who successfully ended his four (4) year of office appointment. According to him Hon Philip during his office brought in a lot of infrastructure development and other interventions that matter to the people. He said and I quote, everyone has a best in his/her carrier and what my predecessor did was his best and we must collectively thank and appreciate it. I coming to put my best and my best must go along with your best so that we can all achieve what we need as a district.

He pledged to run an open administration, to ensure that people with great ideas were brought on board, to facilitate the development of the area.

The Northern Regional Minister Hon Alhaji Muniru Mohammed Limuna, applauded members of the assembly for their kind gesture in the full endorsement of the DCE. , this to me means that, the assembly is geared towards development. Let me also thank all our chiefs especially the Bunkpurugu, Nakpanduri and Yunyoo Naaba for the role all of you have played during this exercise.

The Occasion brought together several people across the country , including , NDC Regional party officials, Regsec Members , friends of the DCE , GES Staff , Bimoba Musicians Association (BIMA) of Bunkpurugu, Religious leaders , women and youth.
