Electricity Crisis (Dum Dumsor Dumkoraa); Why NDC Can't Solve But NPP Can

GHANAIANS: NDC/MAHAMA, what are the causes of this electricity crisis (DUMSOR)?

NDC/MAHAMA: Oh Ghanaians, its only because of the cut off of gas from Nigeria through the West African Gas Pipeline to fuel our thermal plants due to a problem on a part of the gas pipeline of which workers are working on to repair it and as soon as its finished, everything will be well- 2014 (After that part of the gas pipeline was repaired, the DUMSOR was still worsening)

GHANAIANS: NDC/MAHAMA, the gas pipeline has been repaired, so why is still the problem of the DUMSOR?

MAHAMA/NDC: Ooh, ooh Ghanaians, we are again short of gas to fuel the thermal plants because there is a fight in Nigeria at where the gas is being sent from to us and so when the tension goes down there, the gas will flow in and everything will be alright- 2014

(The fighting stopped in that part of Nigeria, the workers resumed work, gas was sent in but yet the DUMSOR worsened)

GHANAIANS: MAHAMA/NDC!!!!!, now we are getting gas from Nigeria so why is the DUMSOR still around?

MAHAMA/NDC: Hmm, Ghanaians, the gas from Nigeria isn't enough but we will be getting an add up to solve the problem completely from our own freshly completed gas plant called Atuabo gas plant to help fuel our thermal plants, I promise this DUMSOR will be a thing of the past after our gas plant comes on board- 2014

(The Atuabo gas plant has been finished, it has started supplying gas to some of the thermal plants since December last year 2014 but yet the DUMSOR is worsening)

GHANAIANS: EEI, MAHAMA/NDC, please now, what again is the problem, because the gas is flowing from both Nigeria(gas pipeline) and Ghana(Atuabo gas plant) to help fuel our thermal plants, so what else is the problem again? Why is the DUMSOR even worsening?

MAHAMA/NDC: The DUMSOR is still around because the current ECG Boss is incompetent, so I will sack him and replace him with a more competent one and that will solve the DUMSOR problem- 2014

(The ECG Boss was sacked and replaced with a new one but yet the DUMSOR kept worsening)

GHANAIANS: MAHAMA/NDC, the DUMSOR still hasn't been solved after you sacked the ECG BOSS oo, so tell us what actually is the problem now?

MAHAMA/NDC: The workload on the MINISTER of Energy is too much for him, that is why, he isn't able to concentrate to help solve the DUMSOR for us quickly, so we will be creating a new MINISTRY OF POWER to take care of Electricity only in the country, so that the DUMSOR problem can be solved quicker than quick- 2014

(The Ministry of Power was created with Dr Kwabena Donkor as its Minister last year 2014 but yet the DUMSOR keeps worsening)

GHANAIANS: Now what again MAHAMA/NDC, the MINISTRY OF POWER has created and still there is DUMSOR, MAHAMA/NDC, what actually is the problem?

MAHAMA/NDC: The water level in our two hydroelectric dams(Akosombo and Bui Dams) are very low and it is because, we haven't been experiencing enough rainfall to fill up the two dams inorder for them to work to their full capacity, to supply all the needed power, the country will need. That is the problem now, and the only solution to it, is for you, the people of Ghana to fast and pray all the time to God to give us more rains.

GHANAIANS: So MAHAMA/NDC, so you knew, your only remedy to the DUMSOR was through us fasting and praying all the time to God and yet you lied to us by promising us in 2012 that, you will solve the problem completely by 2013?- 2014, 2015

Some Promises By MAHAMA/NDC on DUMSOR Eradication
A. MAHAMA/NDC: DUMSOR will be a thing of the past by 2013- 2012 Campaign message by MAHAMA

B. MAHAMA/NDC: DUMSOR will be over by the middle of 2014 due to the measures we are taking- early part of 2014 by MAHAMA, ENERGY MINISTER and their COMMUNICATORS

C. MAHAMA/NDC: I promise, I wont promise again about the time this DUMSOR will be over- 2014, MAHAMA on Paul Adom Otchere's Good Evening Ghana show.

D. MAHAMA/NDC: This DUMSOR will be over in the beginning of next year 2015- 31st Night 2014, MAHAMA at Perez Chapel(Pastor Agyin Asare's Church)

F. MAHAMA/NDC: DUMSOR will be over by April 2015- 2015, MAHAMA at the National Prayer and Thanks giving Service, Accra

Dr Kwabena Donkor/NDC(Minister for Power): I can't promise you when the DUMSOR will be over but I can assure GHANAIANS that, it will be over by the end of this year 2015 and if the DUMSOR doesn't stop as I have promised you, I will resign from this position of mine- 2015, Dr Kwabena Donkor at the Press meet the Ministry of Power over the DUMSOR CRISIS organized by the Ministry of Communication.

Sam George/NDC: The DUMSOR will be over in 18 months time from now(meaning from his words, the DUMSOR should be over around AUGUST NEXT YEAR 2016)- February 2015, Sam George at Asempa FM

NPP ON DUMSOR Eradication During Its Tenure
GHANAIANS: KUFFOUR/NPP, what are the cause of the DUMSOR, we are experience now?

KUFFOUR/NPP: GHANAIANS, we are experiencing this DUMSOR because of a low waterlevel in the Akosombo Dam(Ghana had only one dam then) and our thermal plants are few to support it also. That is the reason but we are bringing in more thermal plants to help solve this situation in the short and medium term as we wait for the rains to fill up our dams. Note, other long term solutions are also in the pipeline such as the construction of other hydroelectric dams(Bui Dam), we hope to solve it very soon this year- 2007

(The DUMSOR was solved by NPP under KUFFOUR in the same year 2007, they gave the promise)

Analysis
From above, you can see clearly that the NDC are a bunch of confused, clueless people who actually don't know their left from right on this DUMSOR problem especially considering the different causes and solutions being given by their different people from the same party, right from the PRESIDENT to the MINISTERS who have been in charged of this MINISTRY and PROBLEM and COMMUNICATORS, to this DUMSOR CRISIS.

But when you check what happened under KUFFOUR/NPP with regard to this same DUMSOR CRISIS, you can realise easily that, they were up to the task, they knew what they were about, had so much clue about the problem and its solution and as result, a reason why they solved the DUMSOR so well when it sprung up during their time..
