Friends Of John Dramani Mahama (USA Chapter) Is Born

A group known as Friends of John Dramani Mahama (USA Chapter) is born. The group has its abbreviated name as “Friends of JDM.” The purpose of the group is to bring together persons interested in fostering, enhancing activities related to the development of NDC, growth of Ghana and helping to get President John Dramani Mahama re-elected in December 2016.

Membership is open to all with a sincere interest in the group. Membership is also available to all without race, ethnicity, color, sex, religion, national origin, handicap or orientation. We the executives and members of this group have come together to form this USA Chapter because we believe President John Dramani Mahama will be re-elected for the second time to finish his Better Ghana Agenda. We have considered all the good things the President has done within the 2 years of his first term and are convinced that President John Dramani Mahana will be retained in power until December 2020.

Even though President John Dramani Mahama spent 8 months of his 24 months in a needless court dispute brought to Ghana by the NPP, he has been able to finish most of the promises he made in his 2012 elections manifesto. To mention few things that the President has been able to do in the health sector, HE has been able to upgrade, expand or construct the Maritime Hospital in Tema, the Ridge and Police Hospitals in Accra and the Military Hospital in Kumasi. The construction of District hospitals at Sekondi, Abetifi, Fomena, Dodowa, Kyerepone, Kumawu and Takoradi. Also the construction of Polyclinics in Central, Greater Accra and Brong Ahafo regions. Regional hospitals in Kumasi, Bolgatanga, Wa, Tamale and many more across the country. These are all visible projects and developments.

There are also the Bui Dam which is 100% complete and the Atuabo Gas Factory which is also 100% complete. The draft for the establishment of the only University in the Eastern Region is in Parliament awaiting review and approval. The 2015/2016 school year is going to start with the progressive free senior high school education, courtesy of President John Mahama. Both Tema and Takoradi harbors are seeing major expansion and upgrades. So are also the Cape Coast, Tamale and Kumasi Central markets. The sports stadium in Cape coast is more than 50% complete and the upgrade of the Kumasi Airport has its first phase completed. The construction of the Tamale International Airport is progressing steadily and on course towards completion. The good news is that Ghana Airways is coming back in 2015.

The second year President has also undertaken to expand, upgrade or construct major roads across the country. Those roads are all there for Ghanaians to see because they drive on these roads to work and other places of interests. The President has also expanded, upgraded and commissioned some water plants that are allowing some people in Ghana to have good and clean drinking water for the first time in so many years. President John Dramani Mahama is the only President after independence who took the political risk to remove subsidies from petroleum products. He did that because he said doing that will be good for the country in the long run.

He is also the only one who has said, those who say he is corrupt and so cannot fight corruption don't really know him. The construction of the Kwame Nkrumah Circle interchange has just started but it has already become a tourist attraction. This is courtesy of President John Dramani Mahama. Ask the people of Komenda what kind of factory they have going on there. Also ask where the Shoe factory is sited and Ghanaians will tell you it is in Kumasi. Better Ghana!

We the Friends of John Dramani Mahama believe that the President is just in his second year of his four years, and come 2015 and 2016; Ghanaians will assess the performance of him at that time and will renew his mandate for another four years. We are therefore inviting and encouraging you to come and join us. We think that it is better that the President knows you as a friend today than in 2016.

The election of 2016 is going to be historic because whilst one candidate is going to be the longest democratically elected President of Ghana, another major candidate is going to be retired from active politics for life because of his age and health. We encourage you to be part of this history.
