Guwahati, December 28 (IBNS): Security forces on Sunday recovered eight motorcycles, one car which were used by National Democratic Front of Bodoland (Sangbijit) in a camp and arrested at least four miscreants who attempted to set ablaze an Adivasi Village in BTAD area in Assam, Police said.
Assam police IGP Dr LR Bisnoi said that security forces recovered the motors from the camp of NDFB( S), which were used by the militants from Khausi Bazar area near Serfanguri in Kokrajhar district along Bhutan border on Sunday evening.
Police also arrested at least four miscreants from Daumaguri area who were tried to set ablaze an adivasi village.
Police resorted Lathi charge and firing to control the situation.
"A miscreant group had entered the remote village and trying to set ablaze houses in the adivasi village, " the top police official said.
Also, a high level security meeting was held at the headquarters of Assam police in Guwahati on Sunday.
