General News Rejoinder: Alleged world cup kickback scandal
DEC 24, 2014 LISTEN

We act as Lawyers to and on behalf of Ledo Samuel Kwaku (hereinafter referred to as "our Client") and write pursuant to his instructions thereof.

Our Client instructs us that your staff Mr. Awuni interviewed him and recorded without his knowledge which you have played his voice on your network and it was very clear that no part of the interview did our Client admitted taking the alleged kickback from E-Volution International.

It is rather unfortunate that you have portrayed and put to the public domain through your news items and discussions on this subject matter that our Client admitted taking the alleged kickback from E-Volution.

Again, it was clear from the recording that Our Client indicated to your reporter that he knew Alfred long time ago and that transaction is private/personal and has nothing to do with E- Volution yet you have put in the public domain that once Alfred is the accountant for E- Volution, and GHȻ80,000 was cleared from E-Volution accounts and GHȻ80,000 was paid into our Client's account then the monies were from E-Volution.

Our Client takes serious exception to the fact that your network after unlawfully laying hands on his statement of account from GCB Bank will go ahead and make other transactions which are not connected to the alleged kickback scandal you claim you are investigating public.

For the avoidance of doubt, you specifically mentioned and discussed on your network that Pearl deposited GHȻ20,000 and Dzifa GHȻ44,000.

It is our belief that you are not genuinely investigating the alleged kickback scandal but an attempt to tarnish our Client's hard earned reputation.

We hope you will give this rejoinder the same prominence you have accorded your story about our Client.
