Activa International Insurance Company Ghana Limited has engaged an international risk survey firm to undertake underwriting and pre-loss survey for some clients.

The survey, which took place in the 10 geographical regions of Ghana, was aimed at identifying physical risks that could expose clients to fire, flood, and earthquake, among others.

The survey was to propose risk management measures to eliminate or reduce the presence of possible physical hazards that could lead to losses, reduce the impact of losses should they occur and optimize the cost of insurance premiums through risk improvement.

The two-week survey was conducted by Antonin Amani, Managing Director of Asteris Risk Consulting Services, a Switzerland and Ivory Coast based loss adjustment and engineering insurance underwriting company.

Stephen Kyerematen, Managing Director and CEO of Activa International, who was speaking to the media said, 'With activities like this pre-loss survey, Activa intends to provide world-class risk management services to the insuring public in Ghana to help eliminate or minimize certain risk exposures to businesses and organizations.

'These sorts of services are available to companies and organizations that insure their assets and liabilities with Activa International Insurance.'

He said Activa International Insurance, which is the preferred insurer of most multinationals in Ghana, started operating in the country after Group Activa took over Global Alliance Insurance and rebranded it.

Mr Kyerematen said Activa continues to provide world-class insurance services to both multinationals and local blue-chip companies since it started operations in Ghana.
