Businessman Alhaji Mohammed Dawood, the man alleged to have aided Nayele Ametefeh's easy passage through the VIP Lounge at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA), is expected to appear before court for the second time on Monday.

The case was adjourned last Thursday to enable the prosecution complete investigations into the case.

The last time the businessman appeared before the court, he denied reports by the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) that he was arrested at the Kotoka International Airport upon arrival from Nigeria.

He told the court that he presented himself to the BNI, escorted by his lawyer.

Alhaji Mohammed Alamid Dawood was arrested for allegedly aiding Nayele Ametefe and her two friends to use the VIP lounge of the Kotoka International Airport(KIA) in Accra, to transport about 12kg of cocaine.

He has since pleaded not guilty when he appeared before the court last week.

So far twelve persons have been also arrested in Ghana in connection with cocaine bust.

Meanwhile, Nayele Ametefeh has pleaded guilty to charges proffered against her during her trial in a UK court.

Since the issue broke, President John Mahama has dissolved the governing board of the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) while directing that security at the lounge should be reviewed.
