Multimedia CEO, Kwasi Twum honoured on Asantehene's visit to Okuapemman

Chief Executive Officer of the Multimedia Group Limited, Kwasi Twum has been honoured by the Chiefs and people of Okuapeman for his contribution towards the development of the nation.

Perhaps motivated by ex-American president, John F Kennedy's maxim of ''Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country'', K.T as he is affectionately called, owns a number of media organizations and helped unearth talents, contributing to the economic, social and political growth of Ghana.

Presenting a citation to honour Mr. Twum as one individual who introduced professionalism and transformed the media landscape into a world-class one, the chiefs and people of Okuapeman in the Eastern Region, could not put out of sight his great achievements.

''You are the visionary founder and CEO of Multimedia which has FM stations like Joy FM, Adom FM, Asempa FM, Multi TV among many others. The Multimedia Group has grown from strength to strength and has become a world class media house. Your vision and exemplary leadership have enabled many young men and women realize their professional pursuits as media personnel.

In 2010, you were honoured by the Ghana Journalist Association (GJA) for your contribution to the growth of the media. You have been voted by Price Water House Coopers as one of the top ten (10) CEO's in Ghana and in 2012 recognized as sixth most respected CEO''.

The citation, which was presented by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu ll who was on a historic visit to Okuapeman to attend a durbar to mark the 40th anniversary of the paramount chief of Okuapeman, Oseadeyo Addo Danquah and to visit the shrine of the mystical priest, Okomfo Anokye.

The Asantehene said, Mr.Twum, a fellow of the African leadership initiative of the Aspen institute, once headed the Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association (GIBA).

The executive Assistant to the CEO, Paa Kwasi Acquah, who received the citation on his behalf, expressed his boss' gratitude to Okuapeman for recognizing his (Kwasi Twum) contributions in building Ghana.
