NDC stalwart, Horace Ankrah says President John Mahama's visit to Tobinco Pharmaceuticals is consistent with his determination to encourage patronage of made-in-Ghana goods and services.

Tobinco Head Office
He said the visit goes to deepen the President's stated passion for promoting made-in-Ghana products and companies. “You can see that the president has taken upon himself to visit made-in-Ghana areas to boost the confidence of Ghanaians”, Horace said.

President John Dramani Mahama Wednesday toured the new ultra-modern factory of the Tobinco Group, Entrance Pharmaceuticals and Research Centre.

His visit was a follow up on the disbursement of the Export Development and Agricultural Investment Fund (EDAIF) facility by the Ministry of Trade and Industry to support local manufacturing of Pharmaceuticals.

President Mahama has also used the floor of Parliament to endorse a Ghanaian shoemaker, Horseman Shoes.

Discussing the President's campaign for made-in-Ghana goods on TV3's New Day, the former Chairman of the UK and Ireland Chapter of the governing National Democratic Congress, Horace Nii Ayi Ankrah rallied Ghanaians to take notice of  the President's campaign and respond to his call to think local when buying.

“You can see the passion in him”, he observed.
