Johannesburg (AFP) - Algerians Entente Setif must host a CAF Champions League semi-final against Democratic Republic of Congo club TP Mazembe this weekend behind closed doors because of bad fan behaviour.

A Confederation of African Football (CAF) statement released Wednesday said the decision follows fines and warnings to Setif over unspecified spectator incidents during the competition this year.

Setif play Mazembe in north-east Algeria Saturday with the second leg scheduled for September 28 in Congolese city Lubumbashi.

Cameroonian striker Albert Ebosse died last month in Algeria after being struck by a piece of slate allegedly thrown by a supporter of the JS Kabylie club he played for.

Algeria are bidding to host the 2019 or 2021 Africa Cup of Nations with the winners due to announced Saturday in Addis Ababa.
