The Bond that exists between telecommunication giants mtn and golf seems to grow stronger as the years roll by.

The sport has become a major and permanent feature on the company's calendar, having been associated with it since 2006.

Competitions like MTN CEO, Golf Classics, Golf Spoons, Asantehene Gold Cup tournaments typify the company's commitment to the sport. Past and current CEOs have rallied behind the game enjoyed not only by the elites, but by all.

Current CEO of MTN Ghana, Serame Toukbong, reiterated his outfit's continued support for golf in the country at the Golf Classics last Saturday at the Tema Country Golf Club, where Kwame Ligbidi emerged the winner.

Ligbidi, playing on a single handicap of five, beat JE Ocansey after recording a 67net. Ama Morgan finished first in the ladies event with a 72 score, swinging past Margaret Anderson and Diana Davies in the well organized event.

The Men's Group B event saw Sung Na picking the ultimate prize with Evan Darko-Mensah and Geoffrey Cofie following in that order.

In the Ladies Group B segment, Cathy Boateng distinguished herself to emerge winner, while Grace Amoah finished second.
